Olesia Zhuravleva
Olesia Zhuravleva is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt awarded by Master Marcus Vinicius Di Lucia, founder of the Beverly Hills Jiu-Jitsu Club. She is a multiple-time national champion and an international competitor in both gi and no-gi grappling events.
Olesia began training jiu-jitsu in Russia during the early years of the sport’s development in the country. In her youth she frequently competed in mixed divisions against male competitors due to the limited number of female athletes in tournaments at that time. After a break from the sport, she returned to competition with renewed determination and transitioned to the adult divisions, eventually earning her black belt in 2022.
In recent years she has established herself as one of the leading competitors in Russian grappling. A major milestone in her career came in 2024 when she won the UWW European Grappling Championship in both gi and no-gi divisions, finishing several matches by submission and confirming her status as one of the top competitors in her division.
