Viktor Tsibizov
Viktor Tsibizov is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Augusto Frota, founder of Frota Academy. He is the head coach and co-founder of Tsibizov Team, later known as METHOD MMA.
Viktor began training Brazilian jiu-jitsu in 2012 in Guangzhou, China after developing an interest in ground fighting through MMA. Soon after starting BJJ he entered his first competition and quickly became active on the regional tournament circuit.
Since 2013 he has competed regularly in gi, no-gi and grappling competitions across Asia and Russia, earning numerous medals in national and international events. By 2015 he was already coaching jiu-jitsu full-time while continuing to compete, eventually earning his black belt in 2021.
As a coach, Viktor is known for his analytical approach to technique and positional systems. He has developed seminars around guard systems such as the lasso guard and the Tarantula guard. At METHOD MMA he teaches all levels of classes, from beginners to competition athletes.
